Announcements

Come Serve With Joy Our parish needs new volunteers to serve in several important roles: Sacristans, Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Altar Servers, helpers for the Monday offertory count, and Data Entry. Each of these roles provides a special way to take part in the life of our Church. Stepping forward to serve can add joy and meaning to your worship and will let you experience the fullness of being an important part of our parish family. If you’re interested, please let Father Mathew or Debbie in the office know.

RE Dinner In a Bag Collection The students of the RE program are asking parishioners to help collect donated meals to provide to local food programs. The goal is to provide a bag containing everything needed for a meal, along with the recipe, so families can have a meal ready when they need it. We have sample recipes to give you, or you can look online for "Blessing Meals" or "Meal in a bag" ideas. There are lots, including birthday cake bags. We will collect these through the end of the school year. Please bring your prepared meal bags to the church hall or place them in the church foyer. We, the students and our families will deliver them to the local food programs. Thank you for your help! If you have any questions please contact Carolyn at 850-899-0022.

Second Collection There will be a second collection today for our Diocesan retired priest’s fund, The Shepherd’s Trust. The proceeds from this collection will help provide a better standard of living for those priests who have dedicated their lives to serving the people of northwest Florida. Please be generous.

Divine Mercy Chaplet Please join us today at 3:00 pm for the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

Catholic Home Mission Appeal Thank you for your generous support for last week’s Catholic Home Mission Appeal. As a parish, we raised $958.00 to strengthen the Church at home and spread the Gospel across the United States. If you missed the appeal, it’s not too late to give! Just visit www.usccb.org/home-missions. iGiveCatholic also accepts funds for the collection if you prefer to donate online. QR codes are on the News letters at both entrances of the church.

CSA Reminder We have 25 families that have pledged for our Catholic Sharing Appeal and are less than halfway to our $28,225.00 goal. Please prayerfully make your pledge. Remember if we do not meet this goal then the church must pay the difference. If we go over the goal our church receives the amount over. Envelopes are available at both entrances of the church. Thank you for your support.

Can We Help? If you or someone you know needs help with meals, a visit, or anything else, let us help! Contact the church office.

Communion to the Homebound Sacraments are available to all Catholics who would like to receive, but are unable to attend Sunday Mass due to injury, illness or advanced age. If you are in need of a visit, please call the office and request Communion at home, in the hospital, nursing home, or assisted living facility.

Rosary Please take time and join us as we say the Rosary every Tuesday at 10:00am. The group Rosary is powerful and the benefits are endless. Let the simple and repeated prayers of the Rosary allow us to really focus on what Jesus did and said as we receive peace of mind, an increased love for Jesus, unity with our church and understand better the will of God in our lives. There is no better time than during Lent to embrace these mysteries and, with Mary's help, let them transform our lives.

Church Registration We are delighted that you have chosen to become a member of our church family. Please register by stopping in or calling our office  850-227-1417 .

If you're visiting the area, and have nonperishable food that you didn't use, consider donating these items before you make your trip back home. Thank you for thinking of those in need.  No open parcels please!

Gospel Reflection

Fifth Sunday of Easter

The Way to the Father  “Where I am going you know the way.” Thomas said to him, “Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:4–6

Reflect today on anything you struggle to understand. See yourself as one of the Twelve, listening to Jesus speak, but failing to comprehend. Do not be discouraged; instead, allow the fullness of Jesus’ divine Truth to sink in gradually. Spend time in prayer, read the Gospels, be open, and listen from the depths of your heart. Seek out His gentle voice and know that He is your Way, Truth, and Life. Let Him lead you and reveal to you the mysteries of His divine Wisdom so that you, too, know the way to the Father in Heaven.

Most glorious Lord, everything You have revealed to us is pure truth, yet my mind is often incapable of fully comprehending Your Wisdom. Draw me into the many mysteries You wish to reveal, and teach me to pray so that I will more fully comprehend the way to You and to Your Father in Heaven. Jesus, I trust in You.
